Don’t Be an Unnerved Traveler! Travel Tips For Surviving Trips! 🇮🇹

Get Your Train Tickets

If you plan to just spend the morning in Rome, get your train tickets from Trenitalia before you start eating and roaming, and remember they leave on time so plan accordingly! Good thing is that trains leave every hour, so if you miss one, another is on the way.

I would suggest heading down to the ticket office since you are not familiar with the process. The attendant was friendly, helpful and answered a million questions that the kiosk would not have attempted! I can’t say this enough, arrive during the daylight hours if possible, especially if you don’t have a designee from your hotel or tour company meeting you. That was one of our best decisions, the train ride is 4 hours, arriving while we had time to get lost and find our way would have been a lot more stressful at night!

The price for a one way ticket to Venezia S. Lucia (Venice) is 65.00 Euros. If you can afford the extra cost, get a business ticket, you get a larger seat, a table, a snack, and you are not in the “silent” cabin. Had we not spoken with an attendant we would have missed the explicit explanation of each cabin and ended up put off for our antics on the ride! A heated discussion about purchasing a Gucci bag got another passenger who was Italian but also from Miami, joining our conversation and adding her opinion and laughter. No, we didn’t need to be in that silent cabin at all!

Now that you have your tickets, it’s time to store your luggage!
