I know when you think of San Antonio the River Walk might be the first thing that comes to mind, and yes it’s lovely. But if you want a nice, open, pet friendly area to just chill, check out The Pearl. Filled with little shops, trendy eats and drinks, and a football field sized play area for you and your furry friends to roam around. If you are heat sensitive, this area might not be for you, or find the section that is fully shaded because it gets hot!

Need something to cool off, grab a bowl of Ramen filled with chili’s, or corn, that flavorful broth will have you leaned back, shades on, and fully hydrated. Stations are set up in many locations for hand washing and sanitizing, food is picked up and eaten outside.

For those of us who love to people watch, this is a smorgasbord of action! I saw a girl heading to her quince, a couple getting married, and crew on old school bikes riding Cali style! Yes the many couples in various stages of love are all around, but we all know what to expect from them, what’s the fun in that. The addition of pets provides opportunities for your food to be licked by a random dog, stay vigilant and laugh with their owner, what else can you do!
